| Setting Walking Plowshares | |
| Set the point of the share down so the suction, or clearance, is 1/16" to 1/8" under the landside at point "A." | ![]() |

The clearance, or underpoint suction, in the throat of the share should be 1/16" to 1/8" at point "B." |
All walking plowshares should have a wing bearing (point "D").
The correct wing bearing is as follows:

| A straight edge placed at the rear of the landside (point "C") and extending to the wing of the share should touch the back of the edge (point "D"). | |

When sharpening the share, take care not to turn the point to one side or the other. The point fitted to the plow should have about 1/4" clearance, or landside suction, at "E." |
