Globull warming EPA censored study
Posted by JWM at 2009-06-26 20:38:03
Internal EPA email messages, released by CEI earlier in the week, indicate that the report was kept under wraps and its author silenced because of pressure to support the Administration’s agenda of regulating carbon dioxide.
The report finds that EPA, by adopting the United Nations’ 2007 “Fourth Assessment” report, is relying on outdated research and is ignoring major new developments. Those developments include a continued decline in global temperatures, a new consensus that future hurricanes will not be more frequent or intense, and new findings that water vapor will moderate, rather than exacerbate, temperature.

New data also indicate that ocean cycles are probably the most important single factor in explaining temperature fluctuations, though solar cycles may play a role as well, and that reliable satellite data undercut the likelihood of endangerment from greenhouse gases.

and the cost of 'green' jobs, Spain is spending up to 1.8 million per green job, and is loosing 2 existing jobs for each new green job created:

the atmosphere is filthy..reguardless of what anyone thinks we must clean up the air or we will die eventually..possibly sooner then later..

Grady,

taxing CO2 emissions does not address those polutants that are harmful! In the quest to control CO2, we may actually do more harm in some instances. Sure reducing auto exhaust by increasing efficiency might indeed be helpful, but the Carbon tax goes well beyond that. We just can't simplify Polution to one of the least harmful ingredients (Carbon dioxide gas) and believe that is going to solve polution.

An example we can identify with, if by taxing animal agriculture for methane production we encourage more tilling of soil and planting of vegetable protein crops to replace animal protein. Those crops require application of fertilizers and pesticides to the land increasing the dead zone in the Gulf, and causing increased release of CO2 into the atmosphere via release from the soil from plowing and tractor fuel. The tilled acres replace pasture which was sequestering CO2 from the grazing of livestock.

The problem with global warming legislation is that it is not based on true science, and by pursuing a falsitude, we are going to cause an abundance of UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES. In the end, we will not have solved those things we were truly concerned about in the first place, like air and water pollution.

Folks we've been sold a bill of goods that preys on our natural desire to have clean air and water. Take a closer look before you swallow the poison!

Janet, I went to a meeting on the new acre program last week. FSA chief from ND, farmers union sponsered it. Also some body from Senator Conrads office was there. His first words were that Rep Peterson from Minnesota had just got them to comprimize to allow the department of Agriculture to be the lead agency. (at least that's what I think he said!) He said that while not perfect, and nobody wants, it it was better than letting EPA take over all the ag issues it will generate.
I would have liked to point out to him an analogy of what he just said but I didn't. Here goes; "If a bully is saying he's going to beat you up, break your arm first so he can't hurt you as bad." The ND Farmers Union never met a Democrat they couldn't endorse over a Republican. And so it goes!
Actually the climate has been cooling since 2000? last I read.

If the Senate passes this cap and trade, you are all dead anyway. While the media moaned about MJ, Pelosi stabbed us all in the back.

Janet, you are like a breath of fresh air. Well researched analysis. Thank You
