i am re doing my stock trailer would k1 and used oil be a good preservern or what is the best

i use native oak- oil with used oil once a year-- most important-- keep it cleaned out-- my brothers trailer has 8-10 inches in it- and goes thru floors every 5 yrs or so- and he blames the guy who sold him the wood

linseed oil an diesel -- half and half

I put some diesel in the used motor oil. It seems to sink it down in the wood farther.
