Hunny and Hillary--update
Posted by Debbie at 2008-06-07 16:17:30
Hi Dr. Beth!
I just wanted to let you know that Hillary has indeed been "enjoying her new horse"! Hunny Canters!!! The gound has dried up beautifully and Hillary's been buzzing around the pasture having a great time! They've also done "4-H clinic" and a show...they even entered the barrel race and pole bending classes! (Hillary entered them for the fun of it--"if I'm at a show, I might as well enter as many classes as I can!") They didn't come close to winning either contest--but Hunny had the distinction of being the BIGGEST in both classes... well...in any of the classes!! Ha Ha! No one else rides a draft.
Happily, they had a ton of fun and 'icing on the cake' was getting to bring home a ribbon in the 'trail' class and another in 'western pleasure'.
Thank you again for all of your help!
(I tell everyone who'll listen all about Rural
Heritage and Dr. Beth--if they need info about ANYTHING, it's on this site--just sit and read!)

This is great news - thanks so much for taking the time to update us! Yes, drafts can canter, and run barrels and poles. They can do a lot of things, and look great doing it! Tell Hillary to keep exploring strange new worlds with Hunny, and give Hunny a big hug for me.
