Every Labor Day Weekend near Colfax, Wash., members of the Palouse Empire Threshing group harvest wheat using equipment and techniques from over a century ago. In order to have wheat to harvest in the fall, they plant it in the spring using draft horses and mules including some bigger multiple hitches.
